As Constructed Visions, we make atmospheric digital images of possible architectural worlds.
Emerging methods of digital representation open windows into other realities, allowing us to photograph fictional spaces. Through visual narratives, we explore subjectively the collective unconscious embedded in the landscapes of digital data, revealing multifaceted memories of places that may have once existed before being forgotten — or that might one day exist.
The works navigate the threshold between fictional architecture and constructed imagery, oscillating between the eerily familiar and the comfortingly otherworldly — at times hyperreal in appearance, yet born of an intimate blend of human and digital imagination.
We are an interdisciplinary duo operating at the intersection of architecture, digital experimentation, and visual design, navigating the boundaries between real and imagined visual worlds.
Our collaboration is rooted in our shared time at Caruso St John Architects in Zurich, where visual expression held a significant role in mediating architectural practice. Over time, our individual focuses have expanded and now include computer-based design, architectural visualization, AI, research, and teaching.
Since 2023, we have been working on joint projects. As part of the Future of Construction Symposium 2024 in Mendrisio, we jointly led a workshop organised by Itten+Brechbühl AG on the use of artificial intelligence in the field of architectural visualization. This first opportunity to contribute together to the public discourse on the topic has since deepened through our image-making work, and grew into the founding of Constructed Visions in 2025.
With this project, we pursue an in-depth investigation of the atmospheric potential of digital image production. To this end, we combine contemporary technology with a sensitive approach to architectural imagery.
studied the principles of human and artificial intelligence in a Master's program in cognitive science at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales at the École Polytechnique in Paris, as well as architecture at EPFL and ETH Zurich.
He gained programming skills as a data visualization engineer at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Following several years of professional experience as an architect at Caruso St John Architects in Zurich, he deepened his engagement with digital methodologies at Pascal Flammer Architects.
Building on this foundation, he took on the role of Head of AI at Itten+Brechbühl AG in 2023, where he researches and advances the integration of artificial intelligence into the architectural design and planning processes, while also engaging in knowledge sharing activities within academia and professional networks.
completed her Master of Arts in Architecture at the Technical University of Munich and subsequently worked for various architecture firms in Munich, where she deepened her expertise in architectural visualization.
At Caruso St John Architects in Zurich and London, she specialized in producing competition visualizations before founding Nora Walter Images in 2020. Through this venture, she expanded her expertise in the digital creation of architectural graphics, with a strong focus on light, materiality, and spatial composition.
Since 2021, she has led workshops on architectural visualization at institutions including the University of Nottingham, the University of Cambridge, the Munich University of Applied Sciences, the Berlage Center (TU Delft), and the University of Edinburgh.
